Two suspects face charges for dealing in rhino horns

The Hawks say the net is closing in on those operating animal poaching syndicates.

Officers have been commenting after three suspects appeared in the Randburg Magistrate's Court for allegedly dealing in rhino horns among other things yesterday.
They were found with five rhino horn - as well as abalone and seahorses.
Spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says, although one of the suspects was released, they're confident they have a strong case.
"One of them was released based on insufficient evidence looking into the case. The two others have been charged formally for dealing in rhino horns. One managed to get bail of R15 000. They will be going back again next week Monday," Mulaudzi said.
