Two men are appearing in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court today, on charges related to the murder of ANC Youth League leader Bongani 'Usher' Mkhize.

The 25-year-old was the branch chairperson of the league at the Coastal KZN TVET College's V-Section campus in Umlazi, south of Durban.
He was gunned down in the township on Saturday morning.
"Police in Umlazi were called out to a shooting incident in B-Section. When they arrived on scene, they found a 25-year-old male that had sustained a gunshot wound. Reports on the scene are that the two men were seen quarrelling," said SAPS spokesperson, Jay Naicker.
Naicker says both men were arrested later that same day. One of the suspects handed himself in to police in Umlazi.
