Two PMB children allegedly raped by teen relative

Police are investigating allegations that a 14-year-old boy sexually abused two young children in Pietermaritzburg.

One of the children - who is five-years-old - is said to have told his mother that he and a 15-month old boy had been sodomised.
The teenager is understood to be a distant relative who lives with the family.
Police were alerted after the family took the children to the doctor for a medical examination.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele confirmed that a double rape case has been opened for investigation.
"There is a rape case that has been opened at Plessislaer Police Station for investigation and it's been investigated by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
"The suspect has not been arrested as yet since he is a minor, but he will be processed according to the Child Justice Act."
