Two people hurt in Chris Hani Road crash

Two people have been rushed to a Durban hospital after being pinned between a truck and a traffic barrier.
The man and woman had been walking along Chris Hani Road, when the truck made a tight turn - as it on-ramped onto the R102 near Mount Edgecombe.
The pair became trapped between the back of the truck and the barrier.

Crisis Medical's Kyle van Reenen says the man suffered serious injuries.
"At this stage we can confirm that he sustained serious abdominal injuries. Advanced life support was required to stabilize him," Van Reenen says, "The woman - remarkably - sustained only minor injuries but is being taken to Addington Hospital for further care".
