Two men shot and killed during robbery in central Durban

Two men have been shot and killed during an armed robbery in the Durban CBD.
ALS Paramedics Garrith Jameison says they attended the scene just after 10am on Thursday.
He says the incident happened on the corner of Mark Lane and Dr Pixley Kaseme Street.
"It is alleged that a robbery was taking place when a security officer attempted to assist the victim shots were fired. Both the security officer and victim, believed to be in their forties, were found with fatal gunshot wounds."

"They were assessed by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and there was nothing more paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the incident are unknown however, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
