Two killed in horror PMB truck crash

A disastrous truck crash in Pietermaritzburg
has left two people dead and a medic fighting for his life in hospital.

Emergency personnel were treating an injured trucker whose vehicle overturned on the N3, when another truck ploughed into them near Liberty Mall last night.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says a traffic officer and a tow truck operator suffered major injuries.

"They were declared deceased at the scene."
"One of our medics sustained critical injuries and he was quickly rushed through to a nearby hospital. Our paramedic remains in a critical condition and underwent emergency surgery."
