Taxi, bakkie crash on N3 Durban leaves 16 hurt

Sixteen people have been injured in a collision between a taxi and a bakkie on the N3 before the Pavilion on Friday afternoon.

ALS Paramedics’ Garrith Jamieson says various emergency services were at the scene to assess the situation.

"At this stage we have got 16 people with multiple injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
"Multiple ambulances services are in attendance. ALS Paramedics are attending to patients as well.
"The freeway is severely backlogged and only one lane of traffic is trickling past."
