Tourism events to fetch millions for KZN: Zikalala
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Speaking at Tourism Indaba 2017 in Durban, Tourism MEC Sihle Zikalala says KZN will receive a multi-million rand boost thanks to the string of tourism events lined up for this financial year.
The province's coffers can expect an injection of R450 million, Zikalala said.
"We are in a process of finalising our study towards determining who benefits from hosting of these events. We're working hard to ensure that the leg dedicated for South Africa is kept in South Africa, and in KZN," he said.

Zikalala says contribution should also find expression through distribution.
"We're also ensuring that all major events that come to South Africa - part of these events come to KZN and are hosted here," he said.
