Achieving perfect scores for Maths and Engineering, Graphics & Design was the cherry on top for Kearsney College learner Hayden de Kock who bagged eight distinctions.
"It's a combination of the last five years of working hard every year and also all the help and support I received and thanks to my parents for all they taught me to never give up on anything. I am going to Stellenbosch University this year, and I'm going to be studying a BCom Actuarial Science."
Crawford College pupil Bella Gosnell bagged 10 distinctions. She says she wants to focus on her other passions - languages and travel:
"I'm going to France to learn French because I have a goal to learn eight languages, so French will be my fourth."
The College's Kayrav Naidoo earned nine distinctions. He shared some advice for this year's matrics.
"It might look like a long year, but it goes by so fast, they should just enjoy it and do lots of past papers because that helps a lot."
For matrics who wrote the NSC exams, their results will be released on Wednesday.
