Toddler trampled to death by giraffe in Hluhluwe

A 16-month-old toddler has been trampled to death by a giraffe in Hluhluwe in northern KZN

Police say the child and her mother were on the Kuleni game farm on Wednesday when they were attacked by the wild animal.
The little girl was taken to a nearby doctor's practice where she died.
Her 25-year-old mother remains in critical condition in the hospital. Giraffes aren't known for attacking humans.

Hluhluwe police are still piecing together the evidence to determine what led to the deadly attack.
