Young boy killed in Lamontville taxi crash

An eight-year-old boy has died after a minibus taxi crashed into a home in Lamontville, south of Durban.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
KZN emergency services spokesperson Robert McKenzie says several people have been hurt.

"Paramedics treated 13 patients at the scene and have transported to hospital for continued medical care.
"The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by police."
