Toddler scalded with hot water in Lions River

A toddler's being
treated in a Midlands hospital for severe burns.
While it's not yet
clear what happened, paramedics say the one-year-old girl had been scalded with
hot water.

Roland Robertson, who's with Midlands EMS, says they were called to assist in Lions River on Wednesday night.
"On arrival, it was found that the child had sustained critical injuries and required advanced life support treatment.
"Once the child was stabilized, the child was transported to a nearby hospital for further care."
