Toddler electrocuted by exposed wires in Tongaat home
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
A two-year-old boy has died after being electrocuted by an exposed wall socket in Tongaat.
Netcare 911's Shaun Herbst says the child was found by a family member at the Ocean Drive Inn settlement.
"It is believed that the child had made contact with the exposed power supply by the injuries that were present. Emergency care practitioners had started advance life support resuscitation but despite their best efforts, the child was unfortunately declared deceased on scene," he says.
