Time running out for education staff to get jabbed

The Department of Basic Education is has reiterated the need for all staff in the sector to get their Covid-19 jabs as soon as they can.

The vaccination programme for teachers and departmental staff has entered its final week.
Spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga says they have met their target of vaccinating over 300 000 staff since the campaign started two weeks ago.

In KwaZulu-Natal, more than 91 000 teachers got the jab.
"We urge all those who have not yet received their injections to proceed to the vaccination site and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
"All our colleagues in the sector, whether you are an educator or support staff, food handler or whatever it is you do at the school, please go to the vaccination site and get your jab."
