Three suspected hijackers set to appear in KZN court

Three suspects linked to a spate of hijackings in northern KZN will appear before court on Monday.

The police's Robert Netshiunda says following several incidents, a task team from King Cetswayo District gathered intelligence and pounced on the men on Saturday.
"Intelligence led the officers to a student accommodation In the Mthunzini area where suspects were arrested on Saturday night.

"He was found in illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. The team proceeded to KwaMthethwa in Empangeni, where two more suspects were arrested after they were found to be in possession of a signal jammer, an unlicensed firearm and a set of gloves."
One suspect will appear in the Mthunzini Magistrate's Court, while the other two will appear at the Empangeni Magistrate's Court.
