Three nabbed with SASSA cards in Umkomaas

Police have arrested three people who were found in
possession of multiple SASSA cards on the South Coast.

A security official noticed two suspicious-looking ladies and a man at an ATM at Roseneath in Umkomaas.
The trio fled the scene in their vehicle.
But police officers from Umkomaas SAPS later spotted them at another ATM and pounced when they transferred more cash.
"Three suspects, aged between 25 and, 45 were found with 50 Sassa cards, 20 EasyPay cards and R34 00 cash," says police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala.

"It was established that the suspects had transferred R360 000 into a private bank account. All three suspects were placed under arrest for possession of the stolen property. More charges are expected to be added.
"They are expected to appear before the Scottsburgh Magistrate's Court on Monday."
