Teen, three others arrested for Newlands woman’s murder

Four suspects, including a 14-year-old, will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the killing of a woman in Newlands.

Four suspects, including a 14-year-old, will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the killing of a woman in Newlands.
Twenty-four-year-old Tasneem Green was found slumped in a car on John Dory Grounds last week.
She was shot in the head.

It's alleged she belonged to the same gang as the four suspects.
The KZN Hawks' Simphiwe Dlamini says while they are aware of the gang claims, their focus lies elsewhere.
"We are aware of those allegations that she was part of the gang, but what we are dealing with here is her murder. We are assisting the Newlands East detectives in this gang violence issue in the Durban area."
The suspects were tracked and arrested within 48 hours of the murder.
Dlamini says fingerprints will be taken to see if they are linked to other crimes.
The youngest suspect will be accompanied by his parent to court
