Police in Ndwedwe are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a teenage boy was killed in a minibus taxi crash.
The 13-year-old was travelling with his family on the P100 road in the Mzunga area on Sunday.
Reports from the scene indicate that the taxi hit a cow, before veering into the path of oncoming traffic.

"The 13 year-old-child was ejected from the side taxi door. The vehicle struck a cow, the cow was not on the scene when reaction officers arrived. The child was declared dead on the scene and later identified as the family member of the taxi driver."
