Teen girl in hospital after alleged hit-and-run in Durban

A teenage girl is in a serious condition in a Durban hospital after she was knocked down by a car.

The apparent hit-and-run happened in Seaview, south of Durban on Monday morning.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said: "Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the young lady who was on her way to school had sustained moderate to serious injuries as a result of the accident.

"She was stabilised on scene before being transported a nearby Durban hospital for the further care she required.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown however, SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further."
