Teen drowns in north coast river

The body of a teenager has been pulled out of a river on the north coast.
The 13-year-old boy disappeared on Thursday while swimming in Amatikulu.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick says their rescue division, a SAPS search and rescue team, and Mandeni lifeguards worked together to find the child.

"Sadly, the body of the young boy has been recovered by SAPS search and rescue divers.
"Thank you to all on the scene, ensuring quick recovery and bringing closure to the family. Our condolences go out to the friends and family of the deceased."
