Teacher who posted pics of 'rotten food' at Ziphembeleni branded a liar by KZN Education

The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal has concluded its investigation into claims that a Durban school had served pupils rotten food.

"All the people that we investigated did not collaborate with the mister who had reported the matter so we have come to a logical conclusion that he is a liar and he has brought the department into disrepute and as such we are going to be taking disciplinary action against him," says the department’s Muzi Mahlambi.

Ziphembeleni Secondary School made headlines earlier this year after the Education Union of SA said learners had found maggots in their amasi.
The union's Scelo Bhengu also posted pictures and videos on social media.
But Mahlambi says Bhengu was suspended for misconduct last year.
"He is driven by hatred and vengeance. He is an educator that two years ago was suspended, dismissed, appealed, was brought back, and last year was also suspended. So he has vowed to make that school unruly.”
