Taxi driver shot in head in Verulam

Police in KwaZulu-Natal are searching for at least four suspects who shot and wounded a taxi driver in Verulam, north of Durban.

It’s understood the 32-year-old man was travelling to his employer’s home when he was attacked on Estuary Drive on Wednesday night.
The assailants blocked his path and fired a shot which penetrated the windscreen of his minibus.
He was shot in the head.

“The suspects fled from the scene of the crime in their getaway vehicle,” said KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
Verulam SAPS is investigating a case of attempted murder.
