Taxi driver, passenger shot and killed in Ladysmith

A search is underway for the assailants behind the double murder of a taxi driver and a passenger in Ladysmith.

The man and woman were shot on the N11 near the Road Traffic Inspectorate's offices on Saturday evening.

It's suspected the attack could be linked to local taxi violence.
"Police in Ladysmith are investigating a case of murder,” says provincial police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo.
“A 43-year-old man was travelling with a 69-year-old passenger when their vehicle was shot at. Those occupants were declared dead at the scene."
