Four killed in suspected taxi violence in Limpopo

Four people have been shot and killed in Limpopo in an attack suspected to be related to taxi violence.

According to reports, the two taxi drivers, a passenger and a passerby were gunned down on Wednesday at an intersection in the village of Zebediela on the outskirts of Lebowakgomo.
Vongani Chauke, the provincial spokesperson for Transport and Community Safety, says it's a pure act of criminality.

"The MEC indicated that it undermines the efforts by both government and the taxi industry of creating a peaceful and reliable public transport system for our people.
"She has commended they police for their timeous response to the crime scene and also directed them to leave no stone unturned in their investigations."
