The group's Anele Yawa says the project began years ago because of a lack of response from the government.
"We have decided to embark on this work after we realised that our country was dropping the ball on the response to HIV and TB, more especially around the 90-90-90 targets."
Speaking at the SA AIDS Conference in Durban, he said the project must be adopted as the country moves forward with the National Health Insurance.

"We must accept and adopt Ritshidze as an initiative of communities that will be used as an early warning to our government in order for our government to be able to fix the problems our people are faced with."
