Suspects on the run after deadly Newlands East shooting
KwaZulu-Natal police say they are hot on the heels of the suspects who were involved in a shootout with officers in Newlands East on Friday.
Two of the armed robbers were shot and killed after a high-speed chase and shootout north of Durban.
KZN police spokesperson Jay Naicker says they are still searching for the suspects who managed to flee the scene.

"Despite an extensive search of the area by the K9 Unit, the remaining suspects managed to evade arrest.
"An investigation into the shooting is underway and detectives believe that the men are linked to numerous robberies in the eThekwini area."
