Suspects link to Inanda shooting nabbed, traditional healer killed

KwaZulu-Natal police have revealed three suspects are in custody in connection with this week's mass murder in Inanda, north of Durban.

Five men in their 20s were shot dead at a RDP house in Amaoti on Wednesday night.
Another man who survived is recovering in hospital.

KZN SAPS spokesperson Jay Naicker says detectives arrested the suspects at a clinic in KwaMashu on Thursday.
"They were found in possession of eight rounds of ammunition. Further investigation led detectives to a house at Amaoti where police were met with gunfire. Following a shootout, a 60-year-old man believed to be a traditional healer used by the suspects, was fatally wounded.
"He was found in possession of a revolver with three rounds of ammunition. The arrested suspects , who are aged between 19 and 28 are expected to appear before the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court on Monday, 30 October 2023."
