Two men arrested in connection with the murder of the speaker of the Amajuba District Municipality want bail.

Two men arrested in connection with the murder of the speaker of the Amajuba District Municipality want bail.


Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor Reginald Ndima was shot and killed outside his home in Newcastle just over a week ago.

KwaZulu-Natal National Prosecution Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara says 43-year-old Mhlonitshwa Sokhulu and 29-year-old Sbusiso Chocolo stood before a Newcastle magistrate on Tuesday.

"The men were charged with murder, and their matter was postponed to 14 February 2022 for bail information and the accused attorney."
