A suspected drug dealer will now also have to answer to charges of attempted murder after he set his dogs on police officers who arrived to raid a Tongaat property.
KZN police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says officials had been tipped off about a man dealing in drugs and possession of firearms and ammunition in Belvedere.

Mbele says the teenage suspect refused the police access and unleashed three Pitbulls on them.
"One officer sustained injuries on the left thigh, hand and leg and was taken for medical attention."
"A 17-year-old suspect was arrested and appeared in court. But the outcome is not known at the moment," says Mbele.
