Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The case against a man accused of hacking two matric girls to death in southern KwaZulu-Natal has been postponed to next month.
Amanda Zulu and Minenhle Buthelezi had been staying at a student accommodation that was close to their school in Creighton.
The 18-year-olds were attacked with an axe at the property in August.

A 21-year-old suspect was arrested on the same day after the body of the first teen was found at the student accommodation.
He escaped from police custody when he was booked out the following day to point where he had dumped the second body.
He was soon re-arrested.

KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says the man appeared briefly in the Donnybrook Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
"It was remanded to 27 October 2022 for further investigations. The accused had previously abandoned his application for bail. He, therefore, remains in custody."
