Suspect shot and killed at Dalton taxi rank

Police have shot dead a suspect near Durban's Glenwood area.

Reports from the scene are that a robbery had taken place at Dalton taxi rank on Monday evening.
The suspect, a man in his forties, was killed in a shootout with police.
Cait Hagerman, who is with dRKEMS paramedics, says they treated a bystander caught in the crossfire.

"They declared one suspect dead at Blake Road. Then, I was directed to Sydney Road where the bystander was found. The alleged bystander had sustained one gunshot wound and was stabilised on the scene. He was then transported to the closest facility for further treatment."
