A security officer has been killed in another taxi rank shooting in Durban.

The latest shooting took place in Umlazi on Monday afternoon.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says they found two guards who had been shot when they arrived on the scene near a mall.
"A security officer believed to be approximately 30 years of age has sustained fatal gunshot wounds, and there was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared dead at the scene."
"A second officer also believed to be in his thirties, has sustained critical injuries with multiple gunshot wounds and was treated out by Advance Life Support Paramedics before he was rushed through to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required."
