Survivors left disorientated after freak electrocution incident in Umvoti

Survivors of a freak electrocution incident in Umvoti, in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands, say they cannot recall what took place.

Robert Sibiya says his younger brother, Elliot and his nephew Sifiso Sibiya and two others were killed on Sunday when a lightning rod they were carrying struck a live electrical wire.

Four others who were helping them were injured and taken to hospital.
Sibiya says the incident has rocked the family.
"The survivors asked us what happened. We said to them, things are bad now we can't tell them what happened. It's like a bomb to them, they did not see it coming," he said.
