4 people electrocuted to death in KZN

Four people have died after being electrocuted at their home in Umvoti.

It's believed they were trying to remove a lightning conductor from their yard on Sunday.

The long rod was apparently too heavy for them and came in contact with a live electrical wire on their property.
Officials say five other people were also shocked and taken to hospital.

Umzinyathi Mayor, Petros Ngubane visited the family's home.
"It was a very bad situation, and the family is unfortunate to have lost some of their members and neighbours as well as relatives who were part of this arrangement," he said.
