Support for KZN schools with structural damage
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Local government says plans will be put in place to address the major challenges faced by some of the province's schools.

Co-operative Governance officials visited schools in and around eThekwini yesterday which marked the first day back at school for thousands of pupils.
MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube says although most schools are fully prepared, they are worried about the ones that were badly damaged in the October storm.
"We have different teams going into different schools but also we are putting a multi-disciplinary team where there is a lot of social problems associated with lack of cohesiveness between communities and the schools," she says.
Dube-Ncube says follow-ups will be done regularly throughout the year to ensure that classes are running smoothly.
