Support for Covid-hit hospitality sector
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Black-owned hospitality businesses battling to cope - due to the impact of COVID-19 - are being offered a lifeline.

Restaurants, catering and accommodation establishments can apply to be part of a hospitality support programme.
Businesses that are 51% black-owned have until the end of this to apply for the Sekela programme.
Edwin Ukama who's with RCL Foods says the aim is to provide back of house training, business coaching, and financial support to 50 candidates.

"Any hospitality outlet that is independent or not part of the chain, we really want to help those people with the least amount of support. There must be at least 51% black-owned of African, Coloured and Indian."
The Sekela programme has been launched by Siqalo Foods in partnership with RCL FOODS, Your Food Partners and Bidfood.
