Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga

Tensions between the Kliprivier and Sizwe Taxi Associations over routes have simmered in recent months, after a spate of killings last year. This includes the murder of Samson Hlatshwayo, Kliprivier's Deputy Chairperson.
The South Africa National Taxi Council (SANTACO) spokesperson Sifiso Shangase says some of their members have been sent to Ladysmith to try to to restore calm to the area.
