Stranded motorist stabbed on Durban highway

Paramedics are currently treating a man who has been stabbed on a highway in Durban.

According to Redline Response's Garrith Jamieson - the man's car broke down on the N2 between Umgeni Road and the N3 interchange.

Jamieson says the victim - believed to be in his 40s - was waiting for assistance when he was attacked.
"He has sustained stab wounds to his limbs. He is being stabilised currently on scene by paramedics and will be transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he requires.
"SAPS is on scene and will be investigating further," says Jamieson.
