KwaZulu-Natal police say they have tracked down and arrested a man who had been on the run after allegedly kidnapping and raping a Pietermaritzburg woman last week.
The woman was reported missing from her home on Thursday - apparently after her dog disappeared.
It's understood she left her house with the suspect to search for the dog but was not seen again.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says detectives found the woman being held in a lodge in Durban on Saturday.
She says the man was traced to the south coast on Monday.
"A 34-year-old man was arrested in Shelly Beach after a multi-disciplinary operation that was conducted in that area.
"The 34-year-old was found in a self-catering apartment and he will be charged for kidnapping and rape and will appear at Pinetown Magistrate's Court today facing those charges," says Mbele.
