Newslands East suburb cries foul over regular blackouts
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The lights are back on in most areas following a major blackout in Durban last night but a suburb in Newlands East - north of the city remains in darkness.

The local neighbourhood watch believes stolen fuses from electricity boxes are the cause.
Spokesperson, Ananth Mahabeer says they struggle with such incidents almost every week.
"Reports have been coming through that fuse boxes have been tampered with and fuses stolen so I'm not sure how we are going to combat it," Mahabeer said.
