Court to hear state's argument on Zuma stay of prosecution
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Prosecutors in the Jacob Zuma corruption case are set to argue tomorrow on why a permanent stay of prosecution, is out of the question.
Legal teams for the former president and French arms manufacturer, Thales, told the Pietermaritzburg High Court this week they won't get fair trial.
They also criticised prosecutors for waiting some nine years to take the case to court.
The NPA's Andrew Breitenbach is expected to make submissions tomorrow.
Zuma's facing charges including money laundering and fraud - relating to bribes he allegedly received in the 90s linked to the multibillion-rand arms deal.
