Stage Four #loadshedding activated
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Eskom has implemented Stage Four loadshedding.
Stage Four loadshedding calls for 4,000 MW to be rotationally loadshed at any given period.
"Since this morning we have unexpectedly lost six additional generating units, which have put additional strain on the system."
Officials say Stage Four loadshedding is expected to continue from 13h00 until 22h00.
"We continue to appeal to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period. Please switch of geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand," continued the statement.
