Stage 4 loadshedding in place all of Sunday
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
South Africans are in the grips of another day of loadshedding. Stage 4 rotational loadshedding kicked off at 8am and will continue until 11pm, according to Eskom.
Yesterday, Eskom announced it was switching from Stage 2 to Stage 4 loadshedding that would continue through the night in an effort to build up water reserves in its pump storage system. Usually it terminates load shedding by 10pm.

Eskom is continuing with rotational loadshedding today to build up necessary water reserves in the pump storage scheme.
We are currently loadshedding at Stage 2.
The stage will shift to Stage 4 from 08h00 till 23h00
We apologise for the inconvenience
The country's electricity crisis worsened after cyclone Idai in Mozambique affected two transmission lines between that country and South Africa. South Africa imports some of its electricity from neighbouring Mozambique.
Loadshedding is expected to continue for the next few days, however it's unclear what phase it will be.

Below, is the alert Eskom sent out on Saturday morning.
