Eskom says stage 4 load shedding will return on Tuesday at 10am.
The power producer's spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says a sudden tripping of three Kendal Power Station units has forced the utility to implement stage 4 power cuts.

"This will last until 05:00 on Thursday morning."
On Monday, COO Jan Oberholzer says they've had a disastrous week with 42 generating units failing.
He says the serious skills shortage at the utility is also to blame.
"Many generating units returned from planned maintenance only to suffer again breakdowns.
"Now presently, we have significant problems with milling plants, high pressure and high-temperature valves, cooling water systems, fuel oil systems.
"Now, these areas of the power stations require skills with appropriate experience."
