Special voting gets underway ahead of Wednesday's main poll
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The special voting process gets underway today.
Around 714 000 people across the country will cast special ballots ahead of Wednesday's polls.
The IEC's Kate Bapela says 300 000 special votes will take place at the homes of voters, while the rest will cast their ballots at their local voting station.
Bapela is urging those who're expecting a visit from an electoral officer to ensure they're at home.
"If you need an official to visit at home you cannot be found to be not at home because that means you have wasted the resources of our country. We are hoping that those expecting officials will remain at home so our officials can assist," she said.
