An anti-crime activist has called on government to declare the recent attacks on women and children - a national crisis.
Yusuf Abramjee says many women and children live in fear - adding that in order to deal with the violence, government must work together with communities.
"We've seen an increase in attacks on women and children. Every child protection week, these incidents are cause fro concern. We are sick and tired of what we're witnessing," he said.
His comments come as the country marks Child Protection Week.
