Sleeping KZN learners allegedly scalded with water by teacher

A Newcastle teacher has been suspended for allegedly pouring hot water on learners.

It's understood the six Siyamukela High School pupils who were assaulted - had been sleeping during the man' lesson last week.

KwaZulu-Natal Education spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi says there's going to be a disciplinary hearing to establish all the facts...
"His hearing will be heard two weeks from now. We take this as very serious misconduct.
"We definitely will be taking disciplinary action against him," says Mahlambi.
