Six bodies have been found after Durban fishing trawler blaze

Fire fighters who extinguished a blaze on a fishing trawler at the Durban Harbour have discovered the bodies of six people on the vessel.
The fire ripped through the trawler at Repair Jetty Two at the Durban dry dock late yesterday afternoon.

Fire fighters managed to bring the flames under control, but emergency operations continued throughout the night.Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the bodies were found in the early hours of this morning.
"At approximately 1am to 2am this morning, rescuers made the discovery of six bodies on the vessel. They were assessed [by emergency services] but they had already passed away due to the severe injuries that they had sustained as a result of the fire," said Jamieson.

Multiple people were treated at the scene yesterday.Three people were taken to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
