Six suspects have been arrested in the Nasrec area on Saturday afternoon, hours after the ANC's 54th National Conference kicked off at the venue.

National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure spokesperson, Vishnu Naidoo says the men were arrested during a routine patrol.
"The six men were consuming alcohol and upon searching their vehicle, police found an unlicensed firearm that was reported stolen in the Pinetown area.
"All 6 men have been arrested and are currently in police custody and are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates' Court on Monday afternoon."
