Sihle Zikalala cracks down on municipalities under administration
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
Premier Sihle Zikalala says decisive action will be taken against under-performing and dysfunctional municipalities.

"Especially those municipalities that stayed under administration for many years. It can not be that we keep on the municipalities under administration with less improvement," he says.
Msunduzi, uThukela and uMzinyathi are some of KZN's municipalities that are struggling financially which in turn has led to poor service delivery.

Zikalala says service delivery shouldn't be compromised.
"When people elect the councillors and local governments, they elect them with the expectation that they will service it, We must understand and play our role and if municipalities are not rising to the occasion, decisive action needs to be taken.
Zikalala's been speaking at a two-day Cabinet Lekgotla which will continue in Durban today.
